Plant Water Use

Measuring the water used by plants through the photosynthetic process, the range of plant water use measurement solutions by ICT International enables the measurement of plant water use from as small as millilitres to many litres per day.

Measuring plant water use enables effective use of water, reducing the risk of over- or under-watering, as well as the the potential cooling effect of the transpiration.

Applications include
-Irrigation scheduling and management for survivability
-Orchard Irrigation Management (through the measurement of cumulative water use and the impact on crop yield),
-Species selection based on water efficiency, (identification of the most appropriate species for a given environment)
