Sensor exchange and upgrade service
ICT International continues to innovate and develop instrumentation especially for measurement of plant water use and plant water potential. This programme of continuous improvement ensures that the best measurement solutions are available.
ICT International recognises that there are users whose research /application needs have changed with time. Therefore we would like to offer upgrade/exchange pathways for the following instruments SFM1 Sap Flow Meter, PSY1 Psychrometer, HFD Heat Field Deformation Sap Flow Meter that you have previously purchased.
The upgrade pathway provides a cost effective route to enable new and improved data collection techniques, such as Internet of Things connection, for research and commercial applications.
The return of instruments also ensures that batteries and materials are recycled effectively, reducing environmental damage and resource wastage.
Examples of the improved instruments that result from the innovation programme include the SFM1x Sap Flow Meter that now has:
- state of the art communications system with options of:
- LoRaWAN – all frequencies globally
- CATM1 – global cellular connectivity
- Highpower Bluetooth communication for simpler remote access
- Satellite backhaul via LoRaWAN
- Cloud connectivity including:
- Real time calculation and display of plant water use and plant water status
- Workflow display of processed data
- Platform of your choosing
- Power system upgrade including:
- 18650 Li-Ion battery, which is commonly available in any electronic shop
- Cut off to prevent over charging of battery if connected to wall/continuous power
This continuous innovation will result in further significant instrument releases in 2024, that will also become eligible for the upgrade programme.
Please contact ICT International to discuss your individual situation.
All instruments must be in a serviceable condition, with no major damage (e.g. water ingress), and able to power on and take a reading (including if connected to an external power supply).
