GFS-3000
Portable gas exchange fluorescence system
The GFS-3000 enables a wide range of control over environmental parameters relevant to plant photosynthesis such as CO2, H2O, temperature, light, ventilation, and flow. The basic system package also includes the LED-Light Source 3041-L, which is designed for extremely homogenous illumination of the leaf area to ensure equal photosynthetic activity across the surface. In the system package GFS-3000FL, it is replaced by the LED-Array/PAM-Fluorometer 3057-FL, which provides variable proportions of red and blue actinic light, as well as a strong saturating light pulse to allow measurements of parameters such as F₀, Fm, Fv/Fm, ΦPSII (effective quantum yield), NPQ, and electron transport rate.
Product Description
The 3041-L LED-Light Source uses warm white LED covering roughly from 400-700 nm which is similar to sunlight. This ensures that every part of the leaf receives the same light intensity and improves accuracy of the CO2 assimilation and gas-exchange measurements. The GFS-3000FL is a modified system package which includes the LED-Array/PAM-Fluorometer that provides variable proportion of red and blue actinic light and delivers strong saturating pulses (up to ~12,000 µmol m⁻² s⁻¹ PAR) to temporarily close all PSII reaction centres. Along with the gas exchange measurements, this will allow calculation of parameters such as F₀, Fm, Fv/Fm, ΦPSII (effective quantum yield), NPQ and electron transport rate. The flexible measuring head design enables customizable configurations for different species and experimental setups. The GFS-3000 can be combined with IMAGING-PAM (MINI and MAXI versions) as well as with DUAL-PAM. The integrated PC provides operation and graphical data processing on a large color touchscreen that is easy to read in the field, even in bright sunlight. User-friendly software guides you through the operation, e.g. facilitates running light-curves or A/ci curves (assimilation versus intercellular CO2 curves). Manual operation, program routines or self-programmed experimental runs can be easily accomplished.Included in the package
