The SNiP-NTU is a 'Sensor Node Integrated Package' for LoRaWAN or CAT-M1 communication of real-time turbidity and temperature measurements for continuous water quality monitoring.
The base SNiP-NTU integrates 1x S-NODE and 1x AWQ- NTU Sensor to a site’s unique network, communication and power requirements. The S-NODE can support an added 3x Sensors. The NTU Sensor is an optical sensor for the measurement of Nephelometric Turbidity.
The sensor can be connected to any types of transmitters, display units, controllers, or data loggers with Modbus RS-485 or SDI-12 inputs. The optical sensor saves its calibration data for better measurement management.
All data concerning calibration, history, users and measurements are processed within the NTU sensor and transmitted via RS-485 or SDI-12.
Compact, robust and light, the PVC sensor allows for handheld or fixed unit application.
The S-NODE (for Environmental Monitoring) has been designed to support the broad suite of SDI-12 based environmental sensors. The S-NODE can support sensors with higher power requirements; a solar panel can charge either the internal lithium-ion battery or both the node and sensor can be powered by an external 12V system (e.g. battery or mains source).
A decoder suitable for TTN will be provided based upon sensor configuration.
