The SNiP-LFT is a 'Sensor Node Integrated Package' for LoRaWAN communication of real-time absolute measurements of Leaf Temperature, for continuous plant, light and environmental monitoring.
The SNiP-LFT integrates 1x AD-NODE and 1x THERM-MICRO Sensor to a site’s unique network, communication and power requirements.
The THERM-MICRO Sensor For the measurement of absolute temperature of the leaf at the surface. The THERM-MICRO Leaf Temperature Sensor is a very small thermistor that can be adhered to a leaf surface. The absolute temperature of the leaf at the surface is measured. The adherence and small size enable accurate measurement. The adherence means that the boundary layer is not disrupted. The THERM-MICRO’s small size means that it has almost no thermal mass, resulting in minimal influence on the temperature environment and measurements which are very responsive to leaf temperature changes.

Further parameters can be added to SNiP-LFT, without requiring loggers to match each distinct sensor, substantially reducing the cost of getting a fuller picture on the application.
The AD-NODE is designed for those requiring precision in their analogue and digital measurements. With a 24-bit ADC, the AD-NODE supports two RTDs, a 0–10V with compressing range and a 4–20mA input. Each of the four dry-contact digital inputs is capable of simultaneously sampling at 1 kHz, with periodic reporting. Settings on the device can be altered remotely via LoRaWAN™ or locally via USB.
