LoRaWAN Water Quality Monitoring Station

The S-Node can be equipped with any combination of the following for LoRaWAN Water Quality Monitoring.

  • ES-2: For measuring the electrical conductivity of water in a pipe or tank.
  • C4E: Conductivity and Salinity sensor, suitable for: urban wastewater, industrial effluent treatment, surface water monitoring, sea water, and drinking water.
  • OPTOD: Optical dissolved oxygen sensor, suitable for: urban wastewater, industrial effluent, surface water monitoring, sea water monitoring, fish farming, aquarium, and drinking water.
  • pHEHT: pH and redox sensor.

Includes an internal 13Ah lithium-ion battery, 11W solar panel and mounting.

ES-2

The Meter Group ES-2 sensor is an accurate tool for monitoring electrical conductivity and temperature in a pipe or tank. The ES-2 measures temperature using an on-board thermistor, and electrical conductivity using a stainless steel electrode array. The integrated 4-probe electrical conductivity transducer accurately senses EC up to 120 mS/cm. The electronic circuitry is encapsulated in a marine-grade epoxy to protect the sensor in corrosive environments.

C4E

The C4E uses 4 electrode technology: an alternating current of constant voltage is established between the primary pair of graphite electrodes. The secondary platinum electrodes allow for voltage regulation of the primary electrodes to reflect fouling.
The voltage measured between the primary electrodes is a function of the resistance of the material, and thus, the conductivity.

The C4E sensor stores calibration and history data within the sensor. This allows for a plug and play system without the need for re-calibration.

OPTOD

The OPTOD (Optical Dissolved Oxygen technology) is based on luminescent optical technology and is in compliance with the ASTM International Method D888-05. OPTOD does not require calibration, and thanks to an ultra low power technology, the OPTOD sensor meets the demands of field work, short and long term installation. The OPTOD measures without oxygen consumption, allowing you to accurately measure in all situations; ideal for use in very low oxygen concentrations.

The OPTOD sensor stores calibration and history data within the sensor. This allows for a plug and play system without the need for re-calibration.

Compact, strong and light, the sensor can be used for portable measurement, or installed for fixed/permanent use.
Body in Stainless steel 316 L (passivation treated) or in Titanium for applications in corrosive environments.

pHEHT

The pHEHT sensor features long-life Plastogel® reference technology, increasing the lifetime of the probe and reducing the need to refill.
The pHEHT sensor has been designed for handheld and in-situ applications in some of the most difficult situations for a pH/ORP sensor in term of sensor resistance, quick response, minimal flow dependence and low power consumption.
