Agricultural-Grade LoRaWAN Weather Station

The S-NODE-SDI-ATMOS41 is a LoRaWAN node designed specifically to support the METER Group ATMOS 41 in order to provide a research-grade LoRaWAN Weather Station.

The LoRaWAN ATMOS-41 weather station outputs the following parameters:

  • Average Lightning Strike Distance (km)
  • Average Wind Speed (m/s)

  • Relative Humidity (%)


  • 7 watt or 11 watt solar panel with pole mounting bracket
  • Internal 6.7Ah Lithium Ion battery
  • AS923/AU915 for use in Australia/Asia, with other frequency plans available upon request

The METER ATMOS 41 is a modular micro-environment weather station that has no moving parts and a slim, tubular form factor.

  • The ATMOS 41 weather station measures 12 weather variables including:
    • air temperature, relative humidity, vapour pressure, barometric pressure, wind speed and direction, solar radiation, precipitation, lightning
  • Easy installation
  • No moving parts
  • All data transmitted over a single wire
  • Digital SDI-12 communication

The problem with weather stations.

Most weather stations are cluttered, complicated and frustrating to install and maintain. Wiring and programming all the components can be a nightmare and finding room to mount everything can be a challenge.

All-in-one weather stations solve many of these problems, but the trade-off is flexibility. Adding just one more sensor often requires an extra data logger, making the system more complicated and more expensive.
