ICT International Gee Lysimeter. PVC drainage control tube, 240mm internal diameter (0.045 m2), 500mm hanging column (passive wick), 7.8L storage total (173 mm total). Supplied with 6mm flexible PVC tubing for sample extraction, and a 12V self-priming diaphragm pump for sample extraction pump. Submersible pressure transducer and autosampler can optionally be added.
The ICTGL-240 Gee lysimeter is supplied with 2m of 50mm PVC, and top cap, to form a vertical access tube at the surface right beside the lysimeter.

The wick design allows for very rapid flow during high drainage events, to prevent temporary saturation at soil lower boundary that may occur with some wick lysimeter designs. The collection vessel design gives 300mm water storage with the wick fully functioning, plus 500mm additional storage with wick suction gradually reducing as the vessel fills.

The lysimeter is supplied with a length of 6mm flexible PVC tubing for sample extraction, and a 12V sample extraction pump. If a different sample extraction system is desired, requiring different tubing, the customer can replace the tubing with their preference prior to installation.

Approximately 500ml / minute pumping capacity, depending on pumping height.
Supplied with 6.3mm blade connectors, for use with readily available sealed lead acid “brick” batteries (as used for alarm system backup power etc). A 7Ah battery will provide several hours of pumping. Can alternatively be connected to a vehicle battery or other 12V power supply.
