The CH24 is a 100 - 240Volts AC Mains to 24Volts DC power supply adapter; capable of outputting up to 2.5Amps.
Compatible ICT Instruments can be powered continuously by the CH24 for use in laboratory applications, or the CH24 can be used to charge instruments such as the AIM1 before use in the field.
The continuous power consumption by ICT Instruments is dependent upon many variables. E.g. for VSL & AML it is dependent on the number of sensors, type of sensors, if sensors are powered continuously and the logging interval of measurements. For a SFM1 the heat pulse and logging interval also affect the power consumption.
ICT recommend using a 24Volts DC power supply like the CH24 to recharge ICT Instruments every 3 months to ensure longevity of internal batteries.
ICT Instruments require a 8Volts minimum to 30Volts maximum DC power supply. The maximum battery charging external power draw set by the charge controller in a SFM1, PSY and VSL is 3.2Watts. For the AML and HFD it is 6.8Watts.
When ICT Instruments are fully charged the continuous external power draw is approximately 0.9Watts for the SFM1, PSY1 and VSL loggers.
