Sensing network upgrades
Telemetry solutions for soil, plant, and environmental sensors have been available from ICT International for over 10 years. ICT International use this experience to support users of different systems to upgrade to the latest IoT communications, sensing technologies, and dashboard solutions as older systems become obsolete. With the evolution of database and dashboard options, the ability to provide increased modelling and visualisation options is an incentive to upgrade elements of the sensing network.
Upgrades to sensor networks ensures the continual collection of data, and the visualisation in leading data platforms that will provide long-term data storage solutions.
ICT International will work with you to implement upgraded IoT infrastructure, from the device to the dashboard, through a planning, implementation, and installation process.
These services include:
- Communication upgrades: as technologies change, or telecom provider service quality changes, the communication systems will need upgrading. If the sensors are still functional, then the communication systems alone can be upgraded. When networks across sites exist, upgrading LoRaWAN gateways and improved positioning of gateways can improve the reliability of the network. Examples include reconfiguring the backhaul from 3G to 4G/NB-IoT/CAT-M1, or upgrading the LoRaWAN gateway and improving the position of the gateway and device antenna.
- Sensor upgrades: low-cost sensors and devices have finite lifespans, often proving the value of sensing. ICT International can support sensor and device upgrades to systems that can be installed for many years, providing quality data through robust networks.
- Platform upgrades including Databases and Dashboards: Multiple platforms can be frustrating to manage; ICT International can consolidate the data to a single platform, reducing costs and improving accessibility to data.
- Datalogger upgrades: Dataloggers traditionally were used in a standalone configuration; however, upgraded dataloggers can include telemetry. ICT International offer a range of datalogging systems that can be optioned with backhaul connectivity.
- Workflow development: Developing workflows can automate analysis of data, create virtual channels, and add value to the data that is collected. All this is within the Eratos platform which provides highly functional, advanced dashboards for visualisation of multiple sensors.
- Gateway details are available on request, and will be tailored to your needs
- Dataloggers can be found on the DataTaker page, where ICT International will work to customise the solution for your application.
- Dashboard and workflow options can be found in the Eratos section on the website, whilst workflows for sap flow can be found here and evapotranspiration are here.
