A very accurate and reliable automatic rain gauge, the bucket is made in POM which a more dismissive material and therefore makes dust and dirt not stick so easily on the spoon and maximizes water release. The outer shell is made from STYROSUN which makes the surface easy to clean and the PRP-02’s high quality plastic materials and a simple design make for a very long durability (10-20 years).
It also has only one adjustment screw which makes it easy to recalibrate. All PRP-02 Professional Rain Gauges are manually calibrated, which gives you the guarantee for a very accurate measurement. Accuracy: +/- 2%. The electronic printed circuit board with individually tested and high quality reed switches protects against extreme weather conditions such as extreme frost or heat. This includes corrosion from salt water due to the PCB coating of a weather resistant varnish.
