IoT Soil Moisture Station with MP406 (ADR) sensor
An integrated research/industrial grade IoT soil moisture monitoring station, the SNiP-MP4 range can measure soil moisture at multiple depths and can be set up in the field for long-term real-time logging.
The MP406 has a reinforced body and stainless-steel needles making it ideal for use in extreme environments such as mine sites, landfills and saline soils as well as standard agricultural soils. The quality manufacture of the MP406 leaves it with a lifespan of 20+ years in the most extreme environmental conditions.
MP406 uses the standing wave principle of measurement. It is equivalent to a Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) sensor without the need for a complex and expensive pulse generator. MP406 is a high accuracy, precision sensor with +/- 1%VWC accuracy following soil-specific calibration and 0.01%VWC resolution.
Connected to the internet of things using either CAT-M1/NB-IoT or LoRaWAN, the SNiP-MP4 range is fully compatible with the ICT International range of dashboard solutions.
All SNiP-MP4s include:
• 1 x MP406,
• MFR-NODE-Node, with either LoRaWAN or CAT-M1/NB-IoT communications
• Rechargeable li-ion battery
• 10W Solar panel and SPLM7 mounting system for node and solar panel
The SNiP-MP4 can be expanded to support up to four MP406 sensors. A PRP or RIM rain gauge can optionally be added to the SNiP-MP4 for measurement of rainfall.
