Enabling better global research outcomes in soil, plant & environmental monitoring.

The University of New England, Armidale, NSW, Australia has developed an “outdoor laboratory”, the SMART FARM which covers 3000 ha of varied rugged, wooded terrain and grassland. This is used for research, teaching & outreach programmes for the rural community of Australia. Data is collected using ICT International instruments and then synchronised across a purpose built wireless network.

ICT International wireless systems are increasingly being used on university farms & experimental sites as well as in commercial agriculture to provide the infrastructure that enables deployment of a wide range of instrumentation and sensors for scientific research and real time decision making.
