Apogee Barometric Pressure Sensor
The Apogee Barometric sensor can be used in a weather station to measure Barometric pressure and also helpful for weather forecasting for the purpose of environmental monitoring and other agricultural applications.
Precision applications of fertiliser and other chemicals do require continuous monitoring of spray bar. Another advantage of the Apogee barometric pressure sensor is its practical applications for correcting measurements undertaken by other sensors that are dependent on pressure. Examples of these include the Apogee Oxygen sensors.
Able to measure between 15 to 115 kPa (approximate), the Apogee Barometric sensor is an affordable solution for measuring barometric pressure.
With lower power requirements, approximately 35 mW (7 mA current draw at 5 V DC), the barometric sensor is idal for many installations. The voltage output ranges from 0 to 5 V DC for a pressure range of 15 to 115 kPa.
The sensor has a wide ranging operating environment, from -40 to 80 C and 0 to 100 % RH (non-condensing).
The actual sensor is small and lightweight (16 mm diameter, 5 gram mass), facilitating easy deployment within a datalogger enclosure that keeps the sensor shielded from solar radiation and precipitation.
